Because the top of the order is up and they hit him hard 3rd time through. 4th time through probably don’t want to risk it. Pitch count at 99 too

Already at 99 pitches. No need to tax him any more before regionals. He’s done more than enough tonight

Also crews seeing anyone for a fourth time is Probably not ideal

Because we are going to need him to be fresh and healthy for next week. He’s special it’s good to be conservative with his usage at this point

We really need Berry and Doughty fully healthy IMO to give us a fighting chance when it matters. Trading 2 of our top 4 bats for guys who are below the Mendoza line is a lot to overcome.
