Your right, out of all the LSU homer statements I read here on a daily basis, this is not the biggest, but probably the gayest, because someone actually took the time to be a homer about their schools marching band. says the tough internet guy who posted in this thread. Bands make atmosphere. To say LSU's band doesn't fire up the crowd/team is plain foolish. It's the same at all stadiums (and I've been to a LOT), but I think LSU's is the best. Pre-game still gives me goosebumps.

The band is one of the reason college football is superior to pro, lots of tradition and spirit.
Hell Bama has a good band with songs that are very much associated with the school,
if you don't get hyped up when you hear your schools fight song you must be dead..
Ask the players whats it like running onto the field when their fight song is playing..

recruiting makes sense to brag about, but spring game? blehhh Its much more impressive to me that LSU brought up 50k fans to Tuscaloosa in 2007 than Bama having 80k fans for a spring game.
