& geographically on the opposite side.
and?

Columbia SC is still 1500 miles closer to Lubbock TX than, say, Syracuse is to Stanford

at least my proposal would keep the traditional SEC and most of the SWC rivals together

HOW are you setting up a conference with 8 AND 9 conf. games?
It has been done before in the SEC, but that was prior to the SECCG and if say the SEC sets the minimum number of conference games at 7, I don't see a lot of schools begging for to have an extra SEC game if a 7-0 SEC team will be in the SECCG while an 8-1 SEC team would be left out.

& that would mean doing _____?

Have no idea. Just throwing out preferences and means nothing in the scheme of things.

Fk a permanent opponent. There are no more traditions.

We need the schedules to be as equal as possible. No more Texas style gimme schedules.

In SEC's defense, you DID leave a conference that was small enough for EVERYBODY to play EVERYBODY each year.

Cut him a break. He's a Bevo so he's not too bright.

Thanks to the Shorthorns the conference was getting smaller every year. Then they walked away from their wreckage.

if the SECCG has to remain in order to feed TV execs greed - then -

Gold Division - 4 programs* with BCS/CFP titles (Perm Opp)

Alabama* (Tennessee)
Arkansas (Missouri)
Auburn* (Georgia)
LSU* (Florida)
Ole Miss (Vanderbilt)
Mississippi State (Kentucky)
Texas* (Oklahoma)
Texas A&M (South Carolina)

Blue Division - 4 programs* with BCS/CFP titles (Perm Opp)

Florida* (LSU)
Georgia* (Auburn)
Kentucky (Mississippi State)
Missouri (Arkansas)
Oklahoma* (Texas)
South Carolina (Texas A&M)
Tennessee* (Alabama)
Vanderbilt (Ole Miss)

Blue v Gold in Atlanta - yes Atlanta - always Atlanta - lets preserve at least 1 tradition -

if you don't win your division then how about just be good enough to be one of 12 if not 16 teams to be invited into the TV Invitational otherwise known as the "CFP"
