Yes, but why on earth would Petrino take it now, knowing that better offers will come? Offering now would probably be our only chance at landing him, but if I'm him, I'm not doing it.
The only rational possibility is a more secluded home life if the money was equal with lower expectations.
If he wants to get ripped by the media while winning a national title he will go to Texas which will recruit itself.
If you are Kentucky's AD what angle do suggest they take?

No it's NOT! He signed as extension last year.
So he's no longer the head coach, now "extension"? Was this a promotion or demotion?

Athletic Facilities
Arkansas
"The University of Arkansas Athletic Facilities Master Plan, a long-term vision designed to shape the future of Razorback Athletics"
"“The plan is an ambitious wish list to address facility needs"
Tennessee
Parts are open now and should be completely open by the end of the season

You do realize the only long term part of the masterplan is the stadium expansion, the new football operations center, practice fields, etc are under construction including the Indoor basketball and indoor baseball practice facilities soon to break ground.

Yeah, because pulling a Pitino in football would go over great.

Pray. A lot. He's going to have to get really lucky with an up and comer or find a coach that wants a new challenge. It would also help to come up with a whole lot of $$$ to pay someone. I'm not getting excited for this coaching search.

UT Spent $45 million and Arkansas is estimated to spend ~$40 million on both upgrades and UT has no plans (and no need) for stadium expansion

congrats to your golf team and all the construction workers in Fayetteville. The point is Tennessee will get choice of HC over Arkansas if they choose to fire dooley.

Yes, and he is forgetting that these supposedly superior facilities are the same as when they were able to lure Dooley away from LaTech...
