There is no way people can really "know" what many of these programs will and wont have going into a season. Most of the preseason stuff is based on looking at the JR and SR classes recruiting rankings for each program outside some of the obvious programs.

I don't get this. How many times have we seen ND and USC ranked high in preseason? And his many times did it stick. Wasn't USC preseason number 1 in 11? Or a different year. They won't do shite.

The year ND (unrightfully) went to the NC, that was the first time they were unranked in the preseason in basically forever. Then, of course, they go to the NC. Now they have another 15-20 years of hype to live on.
USC is USC, but their HC is a little too unproven to be warranting #3 right now, IMO.

Overall, not bad. I think UGA may be higher than #11, but that's debatable

seems about right on Auburn. Loaded w/ talent. Great coaching on both sides of the ball, but have to see it on the field before shelling out a top 5 ranking. Especially on the defensive side.
