How bad does it have to be in Starkville, Mississippi that your own flesh and blood scott strickland bolts his alma mater? Not only that but your second highest winning coach in school history runs away too?
Mississppi State will never go to Atlanta. They cant even hire a coach with previous D1 head coaching experiance.
It's true...
How sad...

Except that we have. And you wouldn’t leave your hometown for double your salary?

And both of our replacements are even better. That's what is scary huh, LSU?

Before it's said and done Morehead will be considered top 3 coach in the league.

Wut? Moorhead comes across as the most down to earth coach in the SEC.

State's one trip to ATL was a complete fluke. All the Big Boys were down that season.
I would very much doubt it will happen again.

It might just happen this year.

Florida has been stealing our coaches for awhile now.

Certainly possible if Mullen going .500 at MSU the last 5 years lands him at a better program.

Finally, Thank God. Mississippi State dressed cowbell ringing baby Jesus made this happen. Can I get an Amen.

Dan was just as weird. Doesn’t mean either are bad coaches.
I think morehead is going to be a great coach. He is highly respected as an offensive genius

Very true. I mean. Where would you rather coach and be the Ad? School with higher academics, more money, better sports teams. Kind of an easy decision.

Cohen and Moorhead have been better imo. Scott and Dan were great, but what we have now just personally feels like a better fit. I have no ill will against Stricklin or Dan. They did a lot to help make what Mississippi State is today.
