Auburn, which I think has a better defense.

Disagree.

Carolina is weird as hell, and will likely lose, but their defense is stout.

Possible lose and you are out of the playoffs games for Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, and A&M

Texas can actually afford to lose and potentially still make the playoffs or the CCG.

Not sure how this one ends up but I’m leaning Go Gata.

Yeah, they're pumped up about ALMOST winning their super bowl. It's done a lot for the confidence to have played a superior team so close.

Turds win.

We can lose to State and beat LSU and Texas and get in.

And we can lose to Alabama and win out and still be in (98 percent chance, according to that playoff predictor).

The problem is: if we suck enough to lose to Gumps, we ain't winning out.

Same goes for you. If you lose to state you ain't winning out, although you might still beat LSU.

Maybe but you would need help. If Georgia and Alabama ran the table you miss the CCG and have two questionable losses against you as an at large.

Similarly LSU could lose to Arkansas and win the rest but be left out of the CCG and playoffs depending on other results

If Georgia wins out and we win out, Texas has two losses. They're out.

Alabama, Georgia, and A&M will have one SEC loss each. Bama trumps Georgia. Would we play them in the SECCG?

Alabama would play Georgia in the ccg. A&M, Texas, and the loser of the ccg would both have two losses and committee would be highly likely to choose the biggest names when the resumes were similar.

It isn't fair but the top would be either Alabama or Georgia followed by Texas. A&M would be at higher risk of being left out. Neither rankings nor committees eliminate human bias or financial incentives

Wut? Why does 7-1 Georgia (with a loss to Bama) get to play Bama again over 7-1 Texas A&M (who played neither squad)?

Because the system will justify it based on rankings

It's bullshite but typically the outcome

First tie breaker is head to head of tied teams which would eliminate Georgia at 0-1 I would think.

It’s too early to think about any mayhem though.
