Just got done watching this one.

It was weird seeing people talking of Tennessee in the context of an elite team. Seeing Peerless Price and Peyton Manning being interviewed for the episode was like watching war veterans tell tales of a bygone era that will never be witnessed again.

I of course was but a preteen when the 90s came to an end and was 14 years old when the Tennessee program met its demise in that 2001 SEC Championship Game. Even though I have vivid memories of that era, it almost seems like a dream thinking back to a time when Tennessee was actually good at football.

When kids ask me about that particular period in SEC history, I almost feel like an old timer talking about the 1899 Sewanee Tigers or something.

Imagine if some of the schools like Chicago, Sewanee, and Tulane has they not deemphasized football.

To be fair, Sewanee decided to de-emphasize football after they realized they couldn't keep up with the other teams in the SIAA/SoCon/SEC financially.

As an aside is there a site to watch the episodes already aired?

Missed the first episode and would like to watch it

I've only watched the 80s and 90s episodes so far. LSU finally gets mentioned at the very end with the Saban hire.

Overall, it's pretty good. Vols and Gators fans should find plenty to love. The Tim Couch piece was a nice touch.

for the most part each episode talks about a decade. The early ones focused on vandy, tech, sewanee, etc. The middle ones mostly talked about bama which makes sense, with some ole miss/uga/au/ut/lsu thrown in. The 80s were heavier on uga and Au and the 90s understandably focused on UF and UT. I'm sure the next episode will heavily talk about LSU.

For sure. Be difficult not to.

I was just hoping for an earthquake, pigs flying or Faulk 'em up reference. shite, I would've settled for a Jamie Howard pick six fest reference. But I understand. Honestly, it's pretty well done and a great overview for anyone especially those too young to have seen it live.
