It was funny watching you spin it as a good hire though.

49-0 over OU I figure bought him a few more years.

I think they win the next 2 to finish 8-4. Looking at the losses this year...

1 point loss to Alabama
3 point loss to Tech
7 point loss to Oklahoma State
7 point loss to TCU

So they were close but he better turn that corner next year. Top 5 Class last year and currently #6 this year. No excuses to not win those games next year.

What do we do exactly then? We are stuck between a rock and hard place. Can't fire the guy yet. But he will continue to put up 7&5 8&4 records. He's a great x and o guy. But not really head coach material

Be thankful… could be in the same position as that little ag school in east Texas.

Firing Herman was the right choice. Replacing him with Sark was perfectly Texas.

He was a weird dude, but he did produce winning records immediately, went 4-0 bowl games (including beating UGA in the Sugar) and he made them respectable with winning records every year. Sark is struggling to even have a winning season in his 2nd year. So yeah, like you said, maybe Herman needed to go if Texas wanted something more, but Sark has produced less than Herman did so far.

Did he regress or was he throwing like that all year? I guess what I'm asking is was the TCU game an anomaly for him or was that about how he plays? He was so far off target all night it was unreal. I know QBs can go through slumps but that wasn't what I was expecting.

Regression. Against OU (and the 5 minutes he was in against Bama) he looked great. Since then his accuracy is very, very poor and he literally does not turn his head to check down outside of his first receiver. Constantly overthrowing Xavier Worthy deep. I don’t think they’ve connected on a deep route all year yet we keep trying to force it.

He'll continue to put up 7 or 8 win seasons in the Big 12. It'll get worse if he's still there when y'all start SEC play.

And to think, there were Bama fans who wanted him to be named coach in waiting for whatever idiotic reason...

Thanks for the information. I'd heard good things about him but that was the first time I'd seen anything other than highlights. Hopefully, he gets better because suffering through that kind of QB play is not fun at all. Losing always sucks but as a fan I think losing with a functional offense is less painful than grinding out games with a terrible one -- y'all were giving me flashbacks to Pruitt's horrible offenses. Your defense had a better chance of scoring all game than your offense.

Him and Rattler have got to be two of the most overhyped players I can remember

And Todd Monken too. I believe he's the highest paid offensive coordinator at $2.1 million a year...
