I'm beginning to think that money can buy you a defense, but you still need coaching to get the offensive part done.
You can't just throw 5 stars out there and have a great offense. You CAN do that for defense.
Seems to me anyway..
Do love this defense.
Other teams are buying players and seem to be on the upswing. Take Oklahoma and how improved they are with a bought QB. You may be on to something, however. It's damn sure not working for us.
maybe the answer is to find a QB who has already been developed and not by Sark.

That is sad to say. But this is where we are.
Even in our last two seasons, though we were a better team - it was the defense that was carrying the mail. Our offense has coughed and sputtered even in the good days under Sark, but defense pulled us through.
This year is not a cough and sputter - it's a freaking collapse. The wheels are rolling off in all directions, and the stagecoach is sitting on the ground. God bless our defense, but they cannot save this.
Sark got his shine back by coaching under Nick Saban at Bama. But answer me this - what coach did NOT look good coaching with Saban? And then what happens when they go do something else?

You guys are so delusional....do you even read the drivel you write before hitting the submit button?
Hopefully Arch's dad and uncles have taught him how to manage the money he's already made because that NIL gravy train is getting ready to dry up.

John Mateer is a college football quarterback whose Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals have made him a significant player in the NIL space, with an estimated total payout of $2.5 to $3 million for the 2025 season after transferring from Washington State to Oklahoma. His success includes a large NIL partnership with Beats By Dre, where he was able to provide gifts for his teammates

Arch Manning has the highest Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) valuation among college athletes, with an estimated value of around $6.8 million, making him the top-ranked college athlete for NIL earnings. He has capitalized on this by signing deals with a variety of major brands, including Red Bull, Panini, and Warby Parker, and his famous family name also plays a significant role in his marketability

Tap the brakes hot shot. We are blasting texas, not Oklahoma.
So are you saying your qb sucks? Trying to make a point that in our case, it would be best to find a quarterback who’s already at the top of his game like you guys did because it seems to have worked out really well for you. That wasn’t a criticism if you’re struggling with that.

Outside of Kirby there’s not a lot. Sark is the same guy he was before he ever went to bama. An average coach who is too arrogant to find help because he thinks he is the genius the media makes him out to be.

So, you want Arch throwing at the feet of his receivers from a clean pocket?

If anything, Texas pass protection has been better than the run blocking. But why quibble, Sark rode on Saban and now Texas money. Eventually the truth has to come out.

I do believe someone told me that he has it in his contract that if he starts drinking again, he forfeits his buyout, but who knows I guess

Only because he drank the arch kook aid

Do you believe in conspiracy theories?
I can't shake the feeling that some extremely wealth donor, or group of donors, has inhaled Manning clan cock and are demanding Arch plays. The decision isn't Sarks and he is responding by merely going through the motions.

Sark was recruiting him while he was in Alabama as was most every other coach in the SEC. This failure is on Sark and his inability to develop him.
I’d like to see how the backup transfer plays. The guy who’s been untouched by Saks brilliant development program.

Possibly at Ole Miss this could happen. The empire here is too big. Sark’s ineptitude has run out of invisibilty cloaks.

More coaches were choosing not to recruit him
The fact that he never would put his skills on display in any camp or other venue
Combined with his average performance, even against small outmatched schools
I don’t think anyone other than Utrans thought he was special
