Let's just let this ride out.

We have no choice. It's clear Sark has no interest in handing over the play calling duties and he's going nowhere (and I don't suggest he should).

Curious how ugly it gets if this offense continues to shite the bed as bad as yesterday. Losing to both ou and the ags in one season will turn the heat up quite a bit on Sark. I don't proclaim them losses just yet but I think we'll be underdogs in both games.

No, they'd rather believe that blue-chip athletes from Texas just straight-up preferred Norman over Austin.

I'm not proclaiming to fire Sark, but as you state above, I won't need to. The inertia will manifest itself if he doesn't figure this out quick. Which he won't, I dare say.

As bad as Arch is, and given that Sark has had 2.5 years to watch this guy as part of his team - he then rolls this out for the 2025 season?

Ok.... so right now it's on Arch. We've bitched about him, we've poo-poo'ed him, we've booed him, we've all jumped off the Arch train. So Arch is taking all the heat, all the bullets are coming at Arch.

So we got that out of our system. Public acknowledgment that Arch can't do this.

Now unless a change is made - guess where the next round of bullets will start firing? That's the thing - the Arch fall-guy card has already been played. Sark better not be thinking the heat will continue to deflect to Arch, because it won't.

Even though some of us already get it - as long as Sark keeps playing Arch - the rest of us will get it too - Sark is the problem.

Losing at OU gives Sark the political cover to make a change.

I don't disagree with you but we're in a position where things would have to get really ugly before there would be real heat on Sark. Guy just went to back to back semi-finals. Yes we got lucky on who and when we played but the average fan doesn't pay any attention to that stuff. All they see is "playoffs".

I also don't think Sark can fix it but, because of the above, it's going to have to get really ugly before a change is made. I have a feeling he'll be pressured to hire an OC as a band-aid and, as we've seen before, forcing your head coach to make a move and cede power rarely, if ever, works.

I think it has to get a lot worse than that. Especially when the media keeps calling him a "genius" on offense. Then again these are the same morons who said Arch would win the heisman.

If you guys come in and win in Austin it's going to get ugly.

When we lose to ( with the state of the offense currently) we lose to OU, ar-Kansas, and the farmers, there will be calls for heads to role on the offensive side of the ball.

All Texas has to do is buy the Cal QB in the portal

Firing Sark would be hilarious

A lot of them do, and always have. We're a better program.

I'm not sure what political cover you think will be needed, as 100% of DKR either silently or vociferously approves.

You know, the ones who pay the bills.

That's it for me on this one.

I hope you have found this rant either to your reading pleasure or displeasure.

Tune it next week - I'm still debating which Rant title will be used:

1) "That's more like it"

2) "What now, you Sark loving cucks?"

Thank you for your time. Bless your families and may next week bring you all the favor you deserve.

And dammit to hell... Hook'em!

Sark bet everything on Manning. Built the whole team around him. Texas will still win a bunch of games because of their cheesecake schedule

Expectations are too high this year. A bunch of games isn’t enough. Quite frankly, I’m not sure a bunch of games is a reality this year.

Hey MtVernon..I did what you said last week. Saved your post, lol…
Your quotes.
“Save this post.”
“Arch Manning will end this season as the SEC’s top rated QB.”
“Only a retard or someone with a high football IQ could make that statement…”
“Test my football IQ. Please.”
Lol…you said it dude, own it, live it. You’re gonna have to live with that “special needs” label awhile. You have a “Slow…Children” sign in front of your house?” Lmao

All kidding aside, you do generally do provide interesting and sometimes insightful commentary unlike a shitload of other T-shirt fans from all the fanbases. Gig em.

Yeah, 10 full years as a P5/4 head coach: 5-7 (twice) 7-6 (three times) 8-5 8-4 9-4 12-2 13-3 Good, not great.

There aren’t many great ones. I see much improvement over what we were. I’m happy with that.
