Due to his age and how much he loves the area (he was our OL coach from 2013-2015; he's from Oklahoma), it's almost certain this is his last stop in his coaching career.

You're welcome. Now could you send us another Barry Switzer?

Count me among tRantards who thought Pittman was a stopgap, caretaker-type hire who would take the program from the abyss that Bert/Chadwick led it to and back to respectability, then step aside (or be forced out) when the PTB were ready for a young up-and-comer.

I concur with the OP. He has done a damn fine job turning it around in far shorter time than most anyone thought. I'm sure they'll fall back to earth this year (maybe as soon as Saturday) but they will still likely win at least 8 games regular season and end up in a pretty good bowl - and probably not have any opt-outs, either.

And the best part is they will not have to give him an outrageous extension to keep him from pursuing other opportunities. It's pretty clear that this is his final stop, and as I said the other day, he's happy as a pig in slop.

Kudos to Arky for bringing him home. Your AD has done a damned fine job thus far.
