Miami is average at best...BC , Syracuse, NC St, UNC, all better than five SEC teams on Bama’s schedule.

You’re dangerously close to forcing me to defend Alabama

Start by defending their upcoming SEC opponents- USCe, Arky, Ole Miss and Tennessee after their embarrassing week one showing.

I don't get the big line for the A&M/Clemson game. That seems like a lot of points.

That’s 10 P5 opponents...including two OOC opponents that have a pulse...how many P5 opponents is Bama playing?

Oh, P5 like Duke?

How terrifying. You must be shaking in your Tevas. I'd hate to have to swap out another Duke for Southern Miss. Could really spell trouble.

A&M is a wash...Auburn and LSU seem better than any ACC opponent on our schedule

So there is evidence then. 2 whole games worth of it.

Cool. Good talk.

LSU, @ A&M and @ Auburn are games that elite teams could actually lose - any team in America has a legitimate shot to lose those 3 games. Then, if we go to Atlanta, we play Georgia.

So that's 4 loseable games for basically anyone in the country.

How many games on your schedule, including an ACC Title Game, would you say Alabama could remotely lose? Maybe at home vs A&M.....the most faint of chances at Syracuse, I guess, if I'm being generous.

Because comparing NC State to Ole Miss is comparing a margin of +28 to a margin of +38. What matters is games that can actually be lost.

Unbiased opinion:

Clemson’s schedule is tougher than Alabana’s. Alabana does have the toughest opponent of the two (LSU) - 2nd toughest is A&N - which Clemson plays.

Top heavy.

Week to week - Clemson has a harder schedule.

Don’t @ me.

ETA: Speculation - (1.) LSU is going (2.) Georgia might not win the East. Could just as easily play South Car.

Wow, so we might have the SEC EAST CHAMPION on our regular season schedule?

I'm calling the SEC office about this

So, NMSU has a 98% chance of beating Bama?

I'm not arguing the 16% for us. I just don't see a consistency in what this number means.

And why we have Aggie jokes. I bet you argue with brick walls and sometimes lose.

SEC teams are the % of winning

Fair point - not disputing top end of SEC West is loaded, however not sure most SEC fans actually watch other ACC games...Syracuse on the road is a difficult venue and watch out for BC this year.

Here's the deal - the "depth" of the SEC is generally overrated. The bottom 1/3 of teams in the league suck (this year it is more like the bottom 1/2).

However, because of the massive social media charged world of 2019, everything is GREAT or TERRIBLE........so the SEC is either AWESOME or AWFUL. The fact is, the SEC has more very good teams than anybody else.......teams that another very good team could lose to. They also have a lot of shitty teams that aren't threats to the good teams.

And, the other thing that never seems to translate in these moronic conversations, is that the strength of the teams they play does not define the strength of a team itself. Clemson in 2019 would beat the ever living shite out of 2/3 of the SEC much like Alabama/Georgia/LSU will. Clemson would also have issues (not necessarily lose, but have a tough road) if they played some combination of @ Auburn, vs Georgia, vs LSU, @ Texas A&M, vs Alabama, @ Florida, etc.

Clemson has proven itself - it doesn't need to justify itself to anyone. But it's pretty clear that the ACC is just plain bad this year outside of them and a few solid but unspectacular teams right behind them. That doesn't make Clemson anything less, but it does mean they have much less to fear in their 12 game regular season.
