Wow. Intelligent analysis from this one.

Okay...here's a question. Did Alabama vote themselves into the BCS National Championship Game or did voters from all across the country do that? If you're so pissed off about Alabama undermining the importance of the regular season and SEC Championship Game then you really need to focus your anger somewhere else. Alabama did not make teams like Stanford and Oklahoma State - teams which were ranked ahead of Alabama after its loss to LSU - lose their football games.

Where did he vote OK State? I'm sure it wasn't #5.

I have never seen a coach nor his players work so hard to undermine the on-the-field results of conference play in any SEC sport since I have been a fan of league starting with my enrollment at LSU in 1994. Nor have I seen an SEC school blatantly diminish the importance of winning an SEC Championship

When did Coach ever undermine LSU's record last year or LSU's SECC?

And neither did Saban. He voted Oklahoma State #4.

When our players saw the pain their teammates had after losing the first game, it gave them incentive to play harder the second game. That is what you saw in the national championship game. When the other team cannot get across the 50-yard line, there is some relentless football going on.

And this is exactly why i felt we would lose and just plainly not fair. Bama had every single intangible and motive to win.

And I thought all along that every game during the season was supposed to matter and we don't need a playoff

This level of irony and stupidity never ceases to amaze me on this board. At no point in the ten pages of this thread has anyone stated anything to the contrary concerning the NC game.

We had everything to lose. They had everything to win. We played accordingly and they whooped us accordingly. Still trying to figure out why Saban is butthurt over November.

Probably because he's a perfectionist and doesn't like to lose. But I'm only guessing.

Thanks Coach Saban. What we have been saying all along. Alabama had every psychological advantage and motivation heading into 01/09/12. LSU had no shot once Alabama backed in to the NC game. The team had been there and done that. Great analysis to support every reason why there should not have been a rematch. It was quite unfair for the team that had the greatest regular season in the history of college football to have to play their toughest opponent again after beating them at their house...while having to play an extra game mind you. And no this is not the NFL so don't give me the happens in the NFL all the time. Thanks Coach.

As far as I'm concerned 11/5 never really happened. Why? We won it all and that's all that matters. It would have been nice to go 14-0 but I will take a 12-1 record if it gives us a national championship.

Yeah I agree. Your coach is still lamenting over it in June though. So are your posters.

If you were the absolute better team you had every shot to beat us in a rematch. There have been plenty of rematches throughout history where the team/person who won the first time came back and won again. Don't give me crap about psychological advantages. LSU was in the national championship game. If that didn't get your team psyched up to play Alabama again then you guys didn't deserve the crystal football.

And it is why we have more national championships then you or anyone else. I don't care if you want to go with 14 or the 9 ESPN credits us with.
