Just a reminder that he has essentially the same contract as Jimbo through the 2030 season. No buyout. He is wildly incentivized to not retire, and rather, be forced or negotiated out. Financially, Bama may be in quite a hole as well if Saban goes downhill quickly.
Saban's eventual "retirement" in the next few years will look something along the lines of him staying with the athletic department in an "advisory" or "ambassador" capacity and still making either his full salary (if forced out on bad terms), or a reduced but still substantial amount (if it is mostly Saban that wants out and he can make up the difference with a tv gig). This will all depend on either how bad Saban wants to retire (doubtful) or how bad the university needs him to retire (quite possible).
Oh look, another bitch arse Alabama fan.

Truth.
He has done a lot for Alabama. It's embarassing to see Bama fans calling for his head. That guy understands the game as well or better than most other coaches. He's not through winning and contending. Once he and every other school learns to better navigate NIL and opt out culture, he'll be back at the top.
The only fans calling for his head are the bitch arse bandwagon fans.
Anyone who has been watching this program for any real length of time knows damn good and well Saban is still better than any coach we've had, and any replacement would be an immediate downgrade.
Bitches who put too much into shite they have no control over, leaving them with no other outlet than to act like a dumb frick as they are powerless to do anything else.

Saban looks miserable on the sidelines this year.

Looks the same as he's always looked, just older. I guess I missed the days of Saban looking cheery and happy on the sidelines constantly.
I think until recently, this was the only time I saw him smile on the sideline:

Uhh, the guy still regularly plays 5 on 5 basketball. Most guys in their 50’s probably can’t do that for long or often.

The moment Saban doesn’t look miserable on the sideline is when we know it’s over.
