It is when you beat over twice the teams with winning records as the team with the "quality loss".

I'm personally in favor of getting rid of conference championship games. I've never liked them. I know they resolve conflicts when teams don't play in the regular season, but I'd like to ban all rematches in College Football.
Of course I was happy Bama got to play for the title but as an outsider's objective viewpoint I still was against the idea. They aren't mutually exclusive.
I didn't want to see Michigan and OSU again, so even though as a Bama fan I would have hated to see someone else get the chance, I would have totally understood.
It's like in FCS where a few years ago it was James Madison I think and Furman played in the regular season and James Mason got their arse kicked but in the National Championship game James Madison won and so the other game was null and void.
College football should never have rematches. That's why I can't get into the nfl that much anymore, I mean does anyone give a shite that the Broncos beat the Ravens during the regular season? No of course not, because they lost in the playoffs to them.
Then take the Big1 title game of 2011, where you had a rematch. MSU beat Wisconsin with a hail mary during the regular season but then Wisconsin won another nail biter in the BIG1 championship rematch and I didn't hear anyone saying that MSU should have been BIG1 champs.
But I would have it to where if the two teams that qualified for the conference championship have played each other already, then the winner of the head-to-head should be crowned champs and you forgo the rematch.
Of course the conferences will never go for that because they make way too much money from the CCGs and the hype but I wish it were that way.

What part of the poll did you not agree with and would OSU have hung in there with LSU?
I disagreed with the human element, including the element in which Saban himself was allowed to vote OKST #4 in his poll,. Ultimately, this kept OKST unfairly out of the title game.
And I have no idea if they would have hung in there or not. That is irrelevant to the point.

Fair enough. 119 other coaches got to vote though. I highly doubt they would have out Alabama at 2 if they didn't believe it to be fact.

LSU is the only fanbase pathetic enough to complain about why another team shouldn't have gotten into a championship game after they get destroyed by them.
Dude you got DESTROYED.

Also playoffs won't solve these problems.
Say that in 2011 that Bama had played Oregon in a 4 team playoff and LSU played Okie State in the other bracket. Bama wins, LSU wins and they play each other in the NCG. LSU is still gonna be fricking pissed that they had to play Bama again.
That's why I've never supported a playoff as any kind of solution.

Bama got in by .0086, the lowest BCS margin ever.
If it was as obvious and decisive as you all are making it out to be, I highly doubt it would have been so close.

Yeah, I know I know. Not every Bama fan is a cult Saban worshipper like Tidefan either.
That dude just fits the stereotype of whiny LSU fan.

Go root for Auburn, what I'm saying makes sense.

I agree. Never said a playoff would do that, either. There is no panacea.

I'm presenting an argument. Debunk it if you've got a problem.
