The point is that during the NFL Draft, the analyst talked about how Saban players are NFL ready compared to other coaches. How many star players has he produced compared to Pete Carroll, Mack Brown, Bob Stoops or even Tommy Tubberville.

Not near as many as Mean Gene and his two thorpe award winners.

Like Caddy? How many games before he's hurt. Again. Or Campbell? And that probowl career he's had?

The coach wasn't right for the NFL and his players aren't? is this what I'm hearing?

Not saying that at all. Just saying the hype about preparing a player for the NFL has not matched the results.

I'm going to help you guys out because that's just the kind of guy I am. The coaches job in relation to the draft is to get the player into the position to be drafted highly. After that it is up to the players to continue to improve.

Can you name me 5 top players for each?

Pete Carroll would be the easiest but his teams at USCw were like pro teams.

At least he has the Rookie of the Year Award and Campbell has started for two different teams. Ronnie Brown has one All-Pro year. Not bad for a coach that did not have the reputation of Nick Saban.

I don't think he has that many "top players" in the NFL.

Clay Mathews, Troy Polamalu, Ryan Kalil, ....?

Maybe my criteria is too strict, but I consider a top/star player to be at least top 10 at his position. I see some good players and solid starters, but I don't see "stars"...

Top players in my book are players that aren't easily replaced. Make the team better overall.

Out of all you listed, I only see 1 top player. There's a player who could become one too, but he's not what I consider "top" right now.

Again, maybe my standards are too strict...

Sounds like a lot of LSU players names being thrown around...name the Alabama players...for comparison of players from both states...
