quote:

"On his weekly radio show Tuesday night, Alabama coach Nick Saban apologized if he offended anyone for the smack on the backside he gave AJ McCarron after chewing out the backup quarterback early in the fourth quarter of a 30-10 victory over Mississippi State Saturday night.

A tap on the butt is a sign of encouragement," Saban said. "I was intense, but I was not angry with AJ. He didn't have a problem with it. We were laughing about it the next day."

Candy agrees

People making a big deal out of this are idiots. SO what, he hit him on his arse, open handed. Some people are such pussies.

I got stuff like that sometimes even back when I played baseball. People have become too much of liberal pussies.

Everyone can clearly see that he was pissed, but it still no big deal.

Dear god people this is football, your kid will be yelled at, cursed at, and likely have stuff thrown at him or hit sometimes. Also this is Nick Saban who has a rep for being and old school tough coach.

Another reason why the man is not made for the NFL. It's all about teaching. One arse-slap at a time.

One of the main things I like about Saban. Everything is a teaching moment. I forget what Alabama game it was but he was ripping the punter late in the 4th quarter. Gotta love it.
