What changes regarding the nature of the game. Offense, defense, ST?

The kicking game (punts and kickoffs) is eliminated. Not too mention no clock. It's not even full football at that point.

CFB overtime is the most poorly conceived addition to the game. Ever.

I should've read more of the thread before my last post. I agree with this statement completely.

It boggles my mind that there are actual football fans who like CFB overtime. It's not real football. Why can't they just play a 10 min quarter?

So this thread is basically an off shoot of the never ending excuses for why Bama lost the game?

"College OT is not indicative of the first 4 quarters."

Could it be that Saban did not have is players ready for OT?

Miles out coaches Saban.

You don't know the rules of CFB overtime? Seriously? You must be one of those idiots from the rant.

you said nature of the game. The nature of the game does not change one fricking lick...score the most points, strategy....yes it changes, just like it does in extra innings in baseball. Blocking, tackling, kicking...they all matter. So just simmer the frick down Francis.

and the game clock is the equivalent of a shootout in a wuss sport like soccer.

Yeah, this is possibly the worst analogy ever.

No, it is completely accurate. Each team takes a shot from the 25. No game clock, no driving the field, no special teams, nothing. It is little more than a soccer shootout.

Good lord, you do not know football.

This is the dumbest fricking thing I've ever read. Field goals are not special teams? No driving the field? Well, yeah if you're Alabama you don't drive the field. Well, you drive, just the wrong way. It's football. You're a dumbass.

This was on his radio show and he was asked about it. That's hardly getting on your soapbox. What is he supposed to do, decline to answer so you goobs will feel better? Typical AU spin.

then why did we get to kick it from the 7?

And why did Bama kick it from 50?

This penalty kick business is just not very fair?
Could it be something about the football plays being run immediately prior? Nahhhh, course not.
