Manziel choked in crunch time

In the last five minutes against La. Tech and Ole Miss, Manziel accounted for 240 yards, four TDs and no turnovers. Against Florida, they got the ball back with five minutes left and ran out the clock. Against LSU, he led a 70 yard TD drive with two minutes to fore an onside kick, which we didnt get and LSU effectively ran out the clock.

You and I have different definitions of choking. And let's not pretend like the game-winning TD against LSU had anything to do with McCarron. He dumped a screen pass to your stud five-star running back. Every poster on this board coud have made that "pass".

And could you have made the passes in the plays leading up to Yeldon's touchdown.

If this happens, this place will explode. And JFF at least gets a chair at the Heisman presentation.

Precisely why I'd much rather see Aaron Murray pull off the upset and shock the world.

So we're going to ignore Manziel's fourth quarter clutch plays because they werent against good enough competition for your liking? But we're going to knock him because he couldnt pull off a comeback win against a top-5 defense in his first ever college game?

I hear ya but I don't know if I'd call it a shock. UA has a great club...but beatable. If UGA clicks on all gears it's going to be a very competitive game I think.

i noticed you left oklahoma off that list

he has no 4th quarter clutch plays against any real competition, sure he can pad his stats against teams like la tech auburn and state, but against any decent competition he has no clutch plays to speak of.

im not saying hes a bad player, cause he isn't, the dude is a beast and may very well win a heisman before hes done there, but the kid is only a freshman and acting like he is so great when he has flopped against good competition is a little much imo

also we dealt with one of the most scramble happy qb's in week 1 and dominated, and i think we're a much better team now so im not really worried about manziel tbh

Well, more shocking because I think few people give Richt a realistic chance to beat Saban.

Aaron Murray is definitely capable.

That might be it. People forget UGA has LSU/UA caliber athletes, they just underperform.

Nope.

He'd put Manziel out in the slot.

Didn't say he'd play him at QB, now did he?

Seemed implied. Maybe you should ask him.

All I heard saban say was that JFF reminded him of Doug Flutie, of course I only listened to about 20 minutes of the press conference on the radio during my lunch break.

Aaron murray is terrible. If UGA wins it will not be because of him.
