bobby petrino wants people to do things his way and uses intimidation tactics in public to do this. add his perpetual scowl and lack of personality and he's just someone to pity. his even suggesting lsu ran up the score on him is utter BS and hypocritical to say the least. he is inciting his fan base to deflect the reality that his #3 team got their arse handed to them after they took a 14-0 lead. looks like their fans bit. they don't even seem to know that petrino has failed in recruiting the kind of defense necessary to win the big games at years end. i admit his team is well coached and has lots of potential going forward but i even like urban meyer better.

I agree. There is no way LSU was running up the score.

The amazing thing is that the pig fans went from talking, "flagship bull-shite, and gonna whip our arse in our own stadium, LSU overrated shite" to
yall are some big bullies, yall ran up the score on our poor defenseless team!!!

That really makes them look weak!

The polls have forced the coaches to create style points. Getting into a BCS or NC game can mean millions of dollars giving them money to improve facilities and increase coaching salaries.

It likely wasn't running the score up as much as the ripping the heart out gesture by Jefferson with Miles laughing that ticked off Bobby. I guess that is a Klark Kent thing, or at least how it is being explained, but it likely didn't appear that way in the moment.

I can see where Petrino would be a bit ticked off with 5 minutes left, LSU up big and the first string is still throwing toward the end zone.  It was obvious to the entire country that we were finished.  If Les would have continued to pound the ball and score 6, most people on here wouldn't have complained.

It was kind of a rough week for the team,  Les was adding insult to injury at that point.

Last year CBP took a knee when he could have punched it in, he likely expected some form of reciprocity.

no need to make excuses....your coach is a sore loser and acted like a bitch. Another guy who fancies himself as God's gift to coaching and can't stand losing to an "idiot" like Miles.

No coach should be butt hurt over another coach running the score up on them. These days style points mean a lot and the other coach would do the exact same thing to get into a high paying bowl or championship.

Yea cause taking a knee with 40 seconds left and the other team having no time outs is exactly the same as kicking a FG with slightly over 5 minutes left in the game.

Les kneeled the ball when he was supposed to.

My question to you is: If Les gives you the ball there, are you guys going to pass the ball to try to come back? Or are you going to let the clock run out too?

If your answer is the former, then Les did the right thing.

Jefferson does the "Superman" touchdown celebration after every TD he scores.

All the talk of arky's high powered offense, Were we to settle for 21 points knowing Wilson's ability? It's about securing victory for Les not running up the score. By the way, Les was chastised already for mercy kneeing with 5 minutes left last Saturday.

OK, but if Bobby had an ounce of character he would have said instead of spouting FU and running off like a little bitch.

I've watched LSU several times this year and never noticed it. Why should anyone outside of LSU know that?

I get that.

My main point is that Bobby has never acted like that before and it is likely a product of this week. He had to identify the body of one of his players Sunday and then take the parents to their son. Do you think someone having one through that might be a bit tense or emotional?

So what was the LSU player doing when he was, i guess, unzipping JJ's shirt? Was he removing ribs or something? How can you possibly think that what Jefferson did was anything but a superman motion?

ETA: Furthermore, who makes a "ripping ... out" motion by moving his hands to the side?

See it for what it is, not what you wish it to be. It was a Superman gesture.

Bobby threw a 7-8 man blitz on that play. Do you want Les to just run it right at the blitz?

My God, you can't be serious. Kicking a FG on 4&6 with over 5 minutes left is rubbing it in?? Give me a break. Talk about sour grapes.

Yes, you did. You took a knee with less than a minute and LSU had zero timeouts. That is exactly the same situation.

Arkansas fans have really shown their immaturity and incapability to handle success. You want LSU to pull off the gas of the #3 team in the country?? Please.

I can understand you chest-bumping pre-game, but since the dust has settled, you need to quit searching for reasons and excuses to blame the loss on the field on anything but your less talented team.

This may be hard for you kids to understand but I don't watch Superman movies or cartoons. I understand now that it has been explained but my reaction was "WTF is that?" when it happened. It is a juvenile celebration antic and I don't keep up with how different players celebrate.

Quit putting words in my mouth, no doubt the better team won. As far as seeing what we want too, I didn't make the connection to either Superman or other implications. I can see how different people with different experiences can though. Maybe with time, experience and a little thoughtfulness you will too.

You arky fans are so butt hurt its fogging your ability to grasp reality.

It's a college player celebrating after scoring a touchdown. His body was pointed directly toward the student section. You want him to shut down and not celebrate at all?

This is common college football stuff. I can't imagine what y'all though about Cam lash year when he was running around Bryant-Denny after the Iron Bowl. He obviously should have been murdered for such behavior.

Looks like you are the fans working hard to not empathize with someone else's situation.

OK. That is fine. I don't think it's crazy for LSU fans and fans in general to assume that people have seen Superman in some form or fashion.

The reason LSU fans are so adamant about this is because it IS something Jefferson does and has done before. Also, because Arkansas fans were (or still are) suggesting that Jefferson and other LSU players were mocking the death of the Arkansas student and that Les Miles was laughing about it.

So, yeah. LSU fans are going to quickly defend their players and coach because that accusation is pretty serious and isn't true whatsoever.
