And he's got it better at alabama than any of those places.

Correct, with a caveat, he has goten better at each of the places he has left. He was Better at LSU than he was at MSU, he got better in Miami after LSU and he is at his Best so far after leaving Miami.

Then what about the CEO's of major companies, switching companies for more money. Not a career change, just a change of venue. A career change would be going to the NBA. Men nearing the end of a career would much rather get a huge payday, compared to their average earning over the past 20 years, in the last 3. So If I average 3 mil a year for 20 years and in the last 3 before I retire I am offered a 8mil/yr job. Guess which one I am taking.

Sometimes your family plays a role. Ask Kiffin.

I'm sure he'd take Cleveland over Tampa Bay for these reasons alone.

His parents are deceased and his daughter is enrolled at alabama, it's not like his brother is running a pizzeria in cleveland fighting with HIV for his life. He's stated numerous times that when he retires he's moving to lake burton. I guess he's lying about that too though.

I'll bet cold hard cash to anyone on the planet that nick saban isn't going to be the coach of the cleveland browns next year. So that's open to any takers

Considering his past, he very well could be lying.

I've already said I don't think he'd leave. But do I think he'll consider it? Why the hell not.

Yeah, no one willfully goes back to the Cleveland or WV region without a huge payday or being forced to.

To be honest, where he retires has nothing to do with the conversation

Like I said, alabama can pay him 10 million a year if he wants it. You know what that would take if alabama just didn't have the funds (lol)

Raising the ticket prices 10 whole dollars. Like I said, if they are willing to offer 12 million a year for a football coach, they can go get bill belichik

Your missing the point. Nick Saban hes been in this exact same position before. Look at the results from those situations. Will he move on to the Browns? I don't know, neither do you. Yes UA can pay him a great deal of money and so can the Browns. So can damn near all of the NFL teams. Jerry Jones sneezes that kind of money. So does Kraft and all the other owners. Like I said it is in Sabans character to take the better opportunity/money.

Pete Carroll pretty much was too. However, it might have been more of great timing since I am sure he knew USC was about to come down with sanctions.

Don't see Saban leaving for the Browns.
The Cowboys, maybe. But not the Browns.

dude he is 61 not 81. If you learn anything from LSU is that he usually doesn't stay at one place more than 5 years. He is due for a change and with his ego the size of Jupiter he wants another shot at the NFL.

Haslam is loaded, but why would Saban WANT the Browns job?

I don't think Saban would. He has it made in Tuscaloosa.

I would laugh my arse off if it happens, but really don't think he is going any where! Only thing that would even come close to making him think about it is his family

Saban could name his price to nearly every owner in the NFL, but yeah, he's going to the Browns. Losers know they cant beat the best, so they want him to go away.. sad

It was brought up that family ties could take him to cleveland. What family ties? If he is retiring to georgia, does family only matter for the rest of his working day?

To all the young Alabama fans on here that don't remember Coach Bryant, this is what it was like. The other schools had god coaches but they couldn't beat Coach Bryant so all they could do was pray he would go to the NFL and they speculated all the time because it was the only way they could have ever won.

Same with Saban. Look at Auburn for example, Chizik is a fricking joke but who are they going to hire? It doesn't matter who they hire because Saban will beat the shite out of him just like Bryant did Shug and the gutless drunk.

Saban will be at BAMA until he decides to leave and that will be a long time from now.

15 on the way bitches. We gone roll everyones arse again this year and be 14-0 with a Natty.

I'm sure you would find it hilarious and a relief if our coach - who's won as many national championships in 3 years as your school has won in 100+ - left us. As a Bama fan, I find your current predicament to be hysterical.

Saban is a total egomaniac and a money whore. he has no loyal to alabama. I know it hurts to tell you all this but it is true.
