disagree. i don't think LSU is scared to play Southern Miss along with Oregon and WVU. Southern Miss = La Tech, imho.

Kansas

Also Virginia and Louisville
A non BCS school but big time program who played at USM was Boise State a couple years ago.

Southern Miss fans give State and Ole Miss fans hell for being "afraid" to play in Hattiesburg which is absolutely ridiculous. We're not "afraid," we just don't fricking want to. If we're going to schedule away games, we might as well make them for places we don't regularly drive through when we're on the way to the casinos.
Whenever a Southern fan says we're scared to play Southern Miss, I usually say something like "State just played GA Tech in Atlanta and Ole Miss is travelling to Austin in a couple seasons... what makes you think our programs are 'afraid' of competition?"
