Ruffin McNeill to LSU

Did anyone catch the end of the UCF/ECU game last night? I'm sure you've seen the Hail Mary that UCF won on, but if you missed how ECU gave the game away.

Nobody will much remember this game because it was UCF vs. ECU on a Thursday, but it was the most epically stupid decision making to end a game I've ever seen.

ECU is down 26-9 entering the 4th quarter, they score 21 4th quarter points to take a 30-26 lead, a great come from behind win.

They have the ball on UCF's 20 yard line, 1:00 to go, 3rd and 10, and UCF is out of timeouts. How can ECU possibly lose?????

For some odd reason, rather than just take a knee, the ECU QB runs around to waste time and then slides down in bounds, losing 9 yards.

It's now 4th and 19 from the 29, the clock runs down to :16 seconds.

They do the EXACT same thing again, their QB runs around backwards to kill time and gets sacked, they lose another 10 yards and the ball goes over on downs.

It's now UCF's ball at the 40 with :10 seconds left.

They gave UCF 20 yards of field position in exchange for wasting 3-4 extra seconds of clock time in doing so, as opposed to just taking 2 knees.

UCF hits one quick 10 yard pass and then with :05 throws a bomb that just reaches the end zone and is complete, GG.
