Says Kentucky will offer Dan Hurley for 10 m a year.
He denied them, but can he really turn down money?

UConn will get somewhere close and he’ll stay with them.

This is actually a very smart move to float these rumors.

1. It might pay off and you get the current best coach in the game in Lexington.

2. But if it doesn’t, all these next tier guys (Oats, Drew, etc) will be like, “hold up, maybe I am interested if you’re talking that kind of cash.”

We haven't offered anyone yet because Cal still hasn't resigned yet (at least not as of last night)

Hopefully thats all taken care of when Arkansas has their press conference today.

If a coach has a great thing going at a blueblood it’s hard to get them to leave. Saban had MULTIPLE chances every single year to leave Bama. To get one of those coaches he has to be looking to get out. Money isn’t everything and that’s true of most people. Years ago, I had gotten a great job. Very, very comfortable salary, great benefits, good hours but it was a shitehole atmosphere wise. Just awful. I took a job for a third of what I was making and got the hell out.

Maybe not an official contract, but that’s not how big time athletics works. Given the trajectory of Cal’s tenure it would be egregious for Kentucky brass to not have started the back channeling a while ago

That's not true, That was stated on a podcast from Aaron Torres on "what he would do".

Ya'll need to stop. It's like CNN around here now.
