Bottom line, anyone who takes the time to post on a college football message board will typically be watching the national championship game of that sport. I think that is an inarguable fact. If we assume that is a fact, why do people get offended when fans of other teams comment on the game that happened last night? On top of that, Alabama fans have no problem whatsoever trolling the hell out of everyone any time they lose a game. So why is it so hard to grasp that they will receive the same treatment when they, too, lose in blowout fashion? Part of what makes being a sports fan is the trash talking back and forth amongst conference foes. It just comes with the territory. Alabama having beaten other teams does not preclude you, as a fan, of any ridicule. We as fans have no impact as to what happens on the field, so the fact that the team you follow happens to be better than the teams we follow does not give you a trump card to be impervious to post-game ribbings. Fair enough?
