I can only assume Louisiana does not have a mandatory retirement age. Stansbury retired from Mississippi State in 2012. Now 14 years later I bet he is in his prime.

I always thought he was a solid coach. I think he'll coach and recruit the bigs and will help a lot with defensive gameplanning in the post.

Stansbury was a very good coach in his 40s and 50s.
But I question how much fire any coach has at 67.

I think it’ll be good for Wade to have a veteran guy like Stansbury to bring some old school discipline and fundamentals to his squad.
