He’s been at Auburn for literally 1 year. Lane lost to Bryan Harsin his first year

Lane didn't stay at ole miss because it's a "better situation" in general, but I do think he stayed thinking it was a better situation for his family. His daughter wanted to go to ole miss and him be there, his parents are happy there and he didn't want to make them move again. There are 3 things I feel are certain: auburn wanted lane and offered him the job, lane came close to taking it, lane decided to stay at ole miss. I don't think Lane was scared of the pressure of the Auburn job but if freeze loses to bama and uga again next year, everyone is going to see the downside of that job. Freeze won't get fired that quickly but he'll go into year 3 scared he's going to if he loses to them again. Let's face it, Auburn fans would rather be 8-4 with a win against bama and/or uga than being 10-2 with losing to them.

I agree with all of that. I don’t put much stock into what the moron alter says. The fact that he has to go there speaks volumes about his argument.

Kiffin has done a great job at Ole Miss. and Freeze has only been at Auburn for a year and has greatly improved our recruiting and relationships from where we were with Harsin
