I don't think there are very many Aggies that wouldn't agree that joining the SEC is the best move our university has ever made athletically.
Wish we had joined many years ago.

You ever think that A&m would still put up those attendance numbers without the biggest band in the country and the corps? Isnt that like 30k or more right there alone.

And yet you choose to live/work there. In all that traffic. Was the Dixie Chicken not hiring?

The entire corps including the band is like 1,500 people.

Aggies had 104K+ attendance for Ball State.
Our home games are automatically the SEC's largest attendance no matter who we play.

More like 3k. Corp of cadets is about 2,500 and band is probably 400-500.
The way they pimp them on tv it seems like 30,000.

Yeah because the home opener in a new stadium has nothing to do with it.

Wow. That's like Austin Powers standing on 5 level stupidity right there.
Even when A&M was an all-male military college, the cadet corps never went above 10,000 in any one year.
The entire cadet corps, in a student body of over 50,000, peaks at maybe 2,500.

I actually like Austin but UT's campus is in a shite hole. Hobos all over the drag. West campus is decent. But it seems most students live in north campus or even towards riverside.
College Station on the other hand is somewhat better as the town revolves around A&M. Brand new complexes and town houses are popping up left and right. A&Ms campus is located in a way better area.
I do enjoy 6th..... But it's a little overrated. I'm just as fine with north gate or going down to Houston for midtown.
But any who A&M is clearly on the upswing. While Texas is still spiraling down. Have fun losing to the Iowa States of the world.

Former Students (Alumni) of A&M also supplement the 30K student tickets, so they are more affordable. I just got hit with a $500 bill on top of my season tickets.
The SEC generally limits its Student allotment to roughly 20K, but A&M put in a waiver when it entered the league. A&M would likely earn more revenue if it allowed those ~10K tickets/per game to float on the open market. The current avg. ticket price for an A&M game is $200.

When Texas A&M plays at home it is automatically the SEC's largest attendance. We come to see the Aggies play.
Don't believe it? You check the numbers.

Oh I believe you but you were insinuating yall get 104K even for Ball state when I was saying that's probably because of the home opener and new stadium. Pretty much every SEC team packs the house every game.

Texashorn...
Your saying the A&M corps was a haven for draft dodgers in WWII, Korea & Vietnam is the dumbest thing I've ever seen on these boards.
Over 20K commissioned officers from A&M served in WWII... More than all of the service academies COMBINED.
