If Ohio State recovered the ball, would it be Arkansas ball anyways because the ball didn't pass the line of scrimmage? Or would it be treated as a live ball free for anyone to recover?

Have to cross the first down line, would be a turnover.

Would if been Arky ball. That's why it made no sense for them to jump on it. They should of scooped and scored

it was arkys ball no matter what...unless ohio st picked it up and ran for a first down. this is why the hogs should have tried for the scoop and score, jumping on it did no good

thats what I thought. So the Arkansas man had absolutely no reason to fall on that ball. Try to pick it up and if you drop it, no big deal.

I think he was trying to scoop and score and lost balance IMO.

Absolutely. I was yelling at the TV loud enough for the players to hear it.

Of course, the way they played tonight, they would probably have slapped it out of the back of the endzone.

Unless he recovers it and then fumbles it after he gains possession. Then it would be OSU's ball. But yeah a stupid play to fall on it

Actually, had OSU recovered the ball behind the LOS extended, they could:

Run
Pass
Kick again

I'm 98% sure it still would have been Arky's ball, from that spot.

And they were not going to do any of those things because they did not have a player within ten yards of it.

SCOOP AND SCORE!

bullshite, they couldn't do anything except run it forward. They kicked it forward, so there could be no pass or rekick after the block. Thats TOTAL bullshite.

What he is saying (very poorly) is that if the ball is still in play, they can do those things. Once it is dead (behind the LOS/LOG) then they could not.

On a blocked scrimmage kick that does not cross the LOS extended, those are the kicking team's options....Not 98% or 99%, but 100%...Look it up

I am fairly certain (but not positive) that as long as it does not cross the LOS, you can still do all three, even if it was going forward when blocked.

Should of tried to scoop and score.

It was a true freshman that recovered it and he just made a mistake.
