Auburn, LSU, Bama and A&M will all reel talent without significant differences. It will be cyclical with the experience and a few difference makers (Cam, JFF) that will determine who is tops in a given year.

cherry picking a few folks from Louisiana

You and I have different definitions of cherry picking I think.

I define it as choosing whoever you want from LA, and that's just not true. Name one guy from LA that LSU wanted that A&M got instead this year.

If what you meant by cherry picking is that you get the guys that LSU couldn't fit in or didn't want (doesn't mean they're not great players), then i agree.

The rest of your post I agree with, but always remember that it is never as good or as bad as you think. I think A&M is in great shape, but it's not like you're gonna string off 5 SEC championships in 10 years either.

For Texas kids. Most LA kids who LSU wants, LSU gets. PLus, the culture at A&M will be a shock to kids who grew up in LA.
If LSU starts losing and A&M is winning big, then I can see some LA kids that LSU wants jumping ship.

LSU doesn't depend on TX as much as we did in the past. We are getting great players from FL, GA, adn nationwide too. Your biggest competition is locking out OU IMO, which Sumlin is doing a great job of. I still think Texas will get theirs.

Im saying that as a positive for LSU. I know they dont recruit texas as hard anymore, but i think more top recruits from houston area will want to play for LSU and be in sec

I think most Mizzou fans saw, and still sees us as a mid level SEC program, with the potential of challenging in our division in some years

We just need MHSAA to sanction spring football.

Not so. Louisiana folks like myself do just fine at A&M. Its a closer cultural fit than Austin aka California.

I can see us getting some Louisiana kids over LSU if momma can be made to care about the quality of education.

Maybe, maybe not. Honestly if we just get three or four a year they offer we are probably set.

There is a reason they are the primary focus of Ags. The two are never good at the same time:
