Except… Mike Dubose won an SEC championship at Alabama.
He was such a hot commodity after Alabama he landed nothing but primo coaching gigs.

Are you guys still running with the whole Bear Bryant went straight from Kentucky to Alabama narrative?

LSU fans can’t let it go that Saban left LSU for Bama lol… it’s been 20 years ago ! Time to let it go.
LSU has won 2 NCs since then...with 2 different coaches. I'd suggest one of the programs is a lot more over Saban than the other.
In fact, a TON of Bama fans are calling to have Saban rehired right now.

Just gonna leave this here for you to review.

Bama fans are so defensive about what is simply their way of doing business.
Alabama has 1 tainted national championship in the last 85 years with a coach not named Bryant or Saban.
It's natural to try and repeat what has been successful.

They have no idea how to handle this.
All of a sudden it’s about head to head records and not the downfall of a the dynasty that Saban built!

Yes, we know.
This post is a great example.

You can’t explain a 27-57-5 series record by simply screaming Nick Saban repeatedly. What are your thoughts on how LSU can climb out of the hole they are in?

We have always rubbed your nose in it. Before Saban, during Saban, after Saban.

That chart agrees with what I've been saying. Remove Bear and Saban and it's about .500 (since Bryant took over).
Bama was clearly dominant (not only vs. LSU but overall with Bryant and Saban at the helm).

Rich Rod turned bammer down
If Alabama had hired Rich Rod and he'd have immediately lost games, what do you think would've happened then?
That we'd just sit there and accept four or five losing seasons in a row?

I'm not trying to climb out of any hole. I readily acknowledge that Alabama has been dominant with Bryant and Saban. In fact, that's kind of my point.
If you took a step back and stopped being so sensitive, you'd realize that your chart makes my point. It's who Alabama is. There's no running from it. We have damn near 85 years of evidence.

Holy shite man. Any team lucky enough to get all that, in the same season, would be the best team of all time. Hands down. There could be zero argument about it.

Bama is the gold standard of college football, no denying that.
You can’t say if not for bear and Saban bc those 2 did happen.
But it’s worth mentioning that there has been 89 complete szns in the poll era. 42 of those were the best and Saban years that yielded 12 national championships.
In the other 47, they have 1 and the current coach isn’t Saban or bear.

So you suggest we scrub 42 seasons away. Ok.
If you remove Bear’s 20 games the series record is 41-23-5.
If you then remove Saban’s 17 games the series record is 29-18-5.
LSU still has a losing record in the series without Bear and Saban.
If we do the same exercise and remove 27 seasons from LSU (the 1980s, Nick Saban, and Les Miles) the series record is 14-41-4. The crazy thing is that Alabama loses more wins, 16, than does LSU,13, during that period. So even during LSU’s most successful periods they still had a losing record to Alabama.

Tennessee was the SEC’s winningest program the day Bear was hired at Alabama.
There are probably a dozen or so programs either Bear or Saban could have done the same type of things at. That’s fairly small company so obviously bama has a lot of built in advantages most schools don’t have.
At the same time having one of the top 5 all time coaches at your school for 42 of the last 67 years or whatever it is makes a hell of a difference. One played there and the other was timed just right. Luck to a point but Saban only leaves Miami for one of those dozen or so schools.

Are you retarded or something?
I'm not suggesting you scrub it away. I'm doing the opposite. I'm suggesting you attempt to follow the same model because your success has been almost nil without it.
Can you not read?
