Here's the thing. I love my team. But, I also like talking football (or whatever else) about other teams in the conference. I'm an LSU fan first and a close second is SEC teams. I do not mind ever saying I'm pissed that we lost and thrilled that we won. I don't get the mentality that if we lose, we must never speak of it. That kind of mentality is unstable to me. Unfortunately, this board does not appear to be a bastion of mental stability at all.

I’m going up for tenure this year (I hear in April; say a prayer, if you’re so inclined).
So my teaching load is light this semester, and research is heavier.
Two grad classes: Brain Development and Genetic Pathologies—mainly in infants.
As for the other ... come chat with me anytime about neural pruning, and you can decide.

Being an Ole Miss fan, I find the story of Terence Davis' confidence and determination in making his mark with Toronto, with a real contract, to be a good, wholesome sports story. But I would never mention it, because it would inspire a lot of "So what's" and other such derision.

I can't post anything here without it being taken as an aside remark to those who read it. Serious postings are taken as abridged diatribes against their program when, if they were to read it all to begin with--and think it through--they would know how to respond to the post in an intelligent (and legible) manner.
Therefore, if they want to throw mud at'cha fer nothin', I can make them feel as welcome as a polecat at a barbeque.
