I guess yall's damn good secondary just had him bottled up. The UGA defense was too much for us that day in a number of areas.

The UGA secondary was big, but what was even bigger was the UGA pass rush. Bo couldn't get shite off for most of the game.

I'm a firm believer in a good DL being the anchor of a good team. Not a good defense but the entire damn team. I'd rather have a top-flight DL than a top-flight QB. My point is that Georgia owned that game because they owned the LOS.

Crazy. What's his deal? How did y'all find him? Don't seem as though he was heavily recruited.

Cooper is the only WR in the conference who I would say is better than Donte.

Same, and Donte is a beast. He's gonna play on Sundays.

I think this is a great year for the SEC coming up.

Who are the two best QBs in the nation going into the season? JFF and AJ McCarron.

Who are the two best RBs? Todd Gurley and TJ Yeldon.

Who are the two best WRs? Marqise Lee (not SEC) and Amari Cooper (debatable but the argument can be made).

Who are the two best OL? Taylor Lewan (Not SEC) and Jake Matthews.

Who are the two best DL? Jadeveon Clowney and ...uh Stephon Tuitt (not SEC)?

Who are the two best LBs? CJ Mosley and AJ Johnson.

Who are the two best CBs? An argument can be made that it's Damian Swann and Bradley Robey (not SEC).

Who are the two best Safeties? HaHa Clinton-Dix and, uhhh I don't know. Like all of the top tier Safeties from last season went to the NFL. I'm sure there is an obvious answer I just can't think of.

Went to a HS that's not good at football, and he was a bball player. Had several D1 bball offers, but was a project as a football player. Obviously has paid off for A&M

We have topics on QB's and RB's from this site last week. Here is Saturday Down South's latest offering...

SEC WR's

Don't mean to be a homer, but South Carolina is going to be loaded at WR this coming season. So loaded that we did not recruit or sign one single WR this past recruiting season.

Bruce Ellington
Shaq Roland
Damiere Byrd
K.J. Brent
Nick Jones
Shamier Jeffery
Jody Fuller
Kwinton Smith, (he's my surprise unknown pick for freshman All-SEC, an incredible athlete, a big guy, very reminiscent of Alshon Jeffery but bigger, faster and maybe better. Kwinton Smith is gonna shock some people this season.)

... and they (our group of WRs) will have one of the better trios of TEs in the country supporting them.

If Green Beckham stays out of trouble, he'll be a BIG threat for defenses. Matthews should be ranked higher than Moncrief.

If I was LSU, I would throw more slip screens and out passes to Jarvis Landry. He is very physical for a WR, and I could see him running over people and breaking tackles.

Yep, USC has a lot of talent at WR. However, I think it will come down to who's playing QB to see if anyone else besides Bruce breaks out. Connor knows he can run and will take off sooner than Thompson. Thompson has also seemed to be more accurate. It should be an interesting spring and fall camp and those 2 will battle it out. Hopefully both improve even more and it won't matter who's in there.

Kavarha Holmes was a RS last year becuase he tore an ACL in fall practice. He is a track class sprinter with good height. Look for him on deep routes.

Holmes has been moved to CB.

He was a bball player up until his Jr year of HS but realized he had a limited future in bball. Played football as a Sr but was super raw. Sherman signed him as a project, RS'ed him, and then last year he came on the scene. That's how you have a 6'5 guy that jumps like crazy and is used to fighting off DB's like he fought for rebounds. Mike Evans is a bad, bad man.

FWIW A&M is going to have ridiculous size at WR next year.
Evans 6'5
RSJ 6'6
Clear 6'7
Kennedy 6'4
JaQuay Williams 6'3
Parker 6'3

Then mix in a bunch of smaller guys with ridiculous track speed.

That sounds like the WR LSU signed from Holy Cross a couple of weeks ago. Played basketball his whole life. Played football as a SR and BLEW UP, over 1,000 yards and ended up a 4*. He's in the 6'4" range I believe.

That's what I think we'll be saying post season, but as of right now he hasn't done anything to prove himself, but as long as he learns the defense he's gonna be a dominant Safety. 43 inch vertical, sub 4.4 forty, and playing with a great front seven/a great partner at Safety = Staaaaaaaaacked.

Kennedy is only 6 flat but I think he could have a great year in the slot. We also have Ed Pope who redshirted and is 6 3 or 6 4. He should play quite a bit this year. I can't wait to see what our WR rotation looks like this year. Tons of potential everywhere
