Why not show the newer chart? Florida made the biggest jump.

Because he was countering this statement:

Up until the mid-2000s, UGA was a pretty clear cut runaway for #3 all time.

UGA has never been the clear cut runaway #3 in the SEC. The two programs have been remarkably close, but for some reason this is rarely recognized, hence:

LSU’s football history is pretty darned impressive, and probably is underrated nationally compared to teams like Florida, Auburn and Georgia.

It is also the root of many LSU fans perceived insecurity.

I'm not saying cfbdw's methodology is perfect;

Agreed it's not perfect. Retarded is closer to the mark.

I remember 1991, that's when LSU still has a winning record all-time vs Florida.

As a matter of fact, in 1991 LSU had a winning record vs all SEC teams except Alabama and Tennessee.

I liked their old ranking a lot better. They had Penn State in the top 10, Tennessee ahead of LSU at #9, FSU in the top 20, and Notre Dame at #1 ahead of Bama. I love Bama but Notre Dame is the greatest program of all-time. They're #1 or #2 all-time in total wins, winning percentage, Heisman Trophy winners, national championships, All-Americans, NFL Draft Picks, CFB HOFers, etc.... When I think about THE college football school, the Yankees of CFB, Notre Dame is the first school that comes to mind. They are the greatest college football program ever.

The "ranking" was created by an Alabama fan and the criteria is a little Bama centric.

No disagreement here, especially if Tennessee has another 10 years like the last 10 years.

Yep.

I'm realistic, though, and understand that you can't just make up a bunch of history in a few seasons. 10-15 years is a good chunk of time, however.
