Three teams, really? No originality, no real connection to any of the schools whatsoever
Not true, MO tigers get their name from the civil war, Named after the city of columbia militia unit

LSU "FIGHTING TIGERS"
Was a civil war unit
What I know is irrelevant. I am talking about appliances. Mascots are the face of your school and team. They should be easily understood and marketed.

9) Commodores This one has no immediately obvious connection to the school, but being named after the school founder is sort of cool. It is also a human mascot, so a bit weak.

It's amazing that you can contradict yourself in the same sentence

Hey kid, just be glad that we let you play with the big boys. That should be enough to help you sleep at night. There is NO competition that comes from Arkansas, whether it be in mascots or anything else. Good day.

I guess Arky was just a border state

The only live Tiger in the SEC would eat this thread, you and your pig and go looking for that Vandy Ship captain for dessert

He wasn't a commodore. His nickname was "Commodore." Your intelligence is showing again.
Really, so by virtue of everyone calling him that he was not an official navy commodore? OMG you are smart. Do you know why he got the name? Are you aware of other such nicknames and their origin, such as colonel?

I am glad you understand.

I see them all over the swamps of la where I grew up. I was all over the ozarks when I was there. Saw 5 mountain lion/cougars. Not 1 feral hog. Just saying
I lived in Louisiana for 3 years, I didn't see 1 gator. Just saying.

Mr. Pigimus Prime, what you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Exactly. The history buffs on here might go crazy and say you misquoted him, they know so much.
Razorback is an Americanism, loosely applied to any type of feral pig, wild boar or cross in North America. Common wild boar (Sus scrofa scrofa) are sometimes called "Russian boar" or "Russian razorbacks".
I really do like the name Razorbacks. That's one thing Arkansas has in my opinion.
1. Razorbacks
2. Rebels
3. Volunteers
4. Gators
5. Gamecocks
6. Commodores
7. Crimson Tide
8. Aggies
9. Bulldogs
10. Bulldogs
11. Tigers
12. Tigers
13. Tigers
14. Wildcats
It is funny that the only other ranking in the thread, by an LSU fan no less, has Razorbacks at the top as well.
