it's the University of Mississippi Medical Center

Yeah, I don't get the angst over this. UMMC only accepts med and dental students from the state of MS. This is not a bad thing.

For main campuses, Ole Miss has smaller student numbers. If you include the medical center, then yeah, it's larger. Ranking attendance numbers for bragging rights is a sure sign that we've run out of ideas for off season trolling.

When my son was in high school, and decided he wanted to go into engineering, I told him he should go to MSU since they have a better engineering program than Ole Miss. In the end, he ended up going to Ole Miss simply because he didn't want to be so far away from his girlfriend at the time (I'm sure other parents can relate to the frustration of that crap).

BOTTOM LINE: Both schools are doing very well in providing a quality education, especially considering we are in the worse state for academics in the nation.

If you can ride an escalator or navigate a revolving door you can get accepted at UAT. What a truly awful place with the most racist, bigoted Neanderthal fans in the entire world.
