Advanced analytics says:

FEI Offense:
LSU (#2)
UGA (5)
Ole Miss (15)
UT (18)
A&M (20)
Missou (22)
Bama (25)

FEI Defense:
Bama (4)
A&M (11)
UGA (12)
Aub (19)
UT (21)

You forgot to put LSU's opponent adjusted defense ranking, which is still 62. Lol

Bama, #25 oFEI and #4 dFEI
LSU, #2 oFEI and #62 dFEI

:edit:

Oh and Bama is #5 adjusted special teams, LSU is #46

We are pretty freakin similar numbers wise actually....allowing less rushing yards than Bama overall but 21 more total yards a game in total defense.

Considering your army of 5 stars, I'd say our defensive coordinator is doing a good job overall. Even more impressive considering willie Martinez is on his staff.

UGA, Bama and A&M are littered with elite talent on defense.

We are over achieving big time according to a 247 composite ranking compared to yours.

Bama, UGA and A&M are three of the
four most talented teams in the nation with Ohio State being in there as well.

We’re arguing apples and oranges.

The numbers I was looking at are all adjusted for competition, I agree that with the basic rankings y’all are up there.

And I’d agree given the talent level discrepancy Heupel has done a great job overachieving on that side of the ball, particularly with the pass rush.

But while I agree UT is very good defensively, I don’t think y’all are quite elite right now.

Your rushing offense is right there with anyone in the country though.
