Y’all are forgetting the out of state fishing travel. MS has some of the best crappie fishing in the nation. Sadly, because of live scope and over fishing they just lowered the limit and will probably have to do more in the future to preserve our controlled reservoirs.

Natchez pulls in a good amount of tourists and has a convention center.

Geyser Falls water park pulls in people from Bama.

Desoto county has huge competitive soccer and baseball. Add in the conventions at the Landers Center and there is always something going on.

There are people who travel 61 for the blues trail.

The coast does bring in quite a bit of our overall travel. Lots of charters and boat rentals to hang out around the barrier isles. The Margaritaville setup keeps adding more things for families.

Lastly, there is an odd tourist attraction in Jackson where we actual have people/youtubers who visit the worst places to document and prove how much of a shithole it really is.

My in-laws are retired in Magnolia Springs, beautiful area. Always enjoy visiting there ... at least for a little while.

Magnolia Springs is a cool little town. Baldwin County is blowing up. I’m petty sure it’s the No. 1 or 2 fastest growing county in the state. It’s different from even 5 years ago. Only good thing for me is housing prices continue to go up, so that helps if I ever want to sell.

We need people to leave.

That ship has sailed, friend. I came back home (Columbia) to attend a funeral last Friday . Just to take my mind off my sorrows, I drove around Columbia, Spring Hill, and Franklin for a couple of hours.

Frankin has been swallowed whole by Nashville. Spring Hill is larger than Columbia now. As an aside, Chapel Hill is part of the Nashville Metro. It’s over for rural Middle Tennessee.

This surprises me a bit. You get up in those Tennessee mountains and it is beautiful. Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge....I would think a lot of people would visit Tennessee, over Georgia, although Georgia is possibly ahead in business, maybe?
