Depends on the sport. If we are ranking top 5 current SEC basketball coaches than natty-less coaches like Barnes, Oats and Pearl are are gonna be included on that list. Hell, only one SEC coach in men’s basketball has a natty ring-Calipari. And frankly, I would put Cal towards the bottom of the top 5 list currently in the SEC. No way would I want Cal right now coaching my basketball program over someone like Oats and Barnes

The list will change year to year as teams cycle through rosters, however just thinking of who I think is the best baseball coach TODAY

SEC Only
1) Tony Vitello (Has a chance to be the greatest to ever do it)
2) Jim Scholssnagle (Just wins at a high level. He might win it next year)
3) Jay Johnson (Could make an argument for number 2, even number 1. Next year will be important for how’s he’s viewed)
4) Dave Van Horn (Hasn’t won a title, but if his players catch the foul ball a few years back he would have one. Always at the top of the conference. I can’t even remember when Arky was bad)
5) Kevin O Sullivan (A little more up and down that some of the guys I ranked above him but they always have great talent and a threat to win it all constantly)

Guys outside SEC that would be in my top 5

Link Jarrett - He will win a title at Florida St before he’s done

Brian O Conner- Virginia is always in the college World Series it feels like. Don’t have the elite talent like they were pulling in for a few years but are always a top team.

My main concern with Paul would be that he's 67.

He's just a kid at heart.

Trust me ... your mind still thinks like it's 35.

It's your body that ages. If his body holds up, he'll be fine.

We shall see.

Regardless, he's still the winningest coach in this thread's head.
