You also realize A&M would be 2nd in every Texas market at best. People I know tell me even Oklahoma has more fans in the Dallas area.
Does not matter. All that matters is do they have enough share of the market to force cable companies to put the SEC Network on Texas tv's and charge a premium price in Texas? The answer is yes.

Big6 + A&M = very important, foundation of the conference (order is irrelevant and fluid)
Mizzou, Kentucky, Arky, USC , oleMiss = less important but certainly bring something to the table
Vandy/MissSt = no offense to either, truly, but low value
Agreed, except Florida is a notch above the rest. Once aTm becomes more established in the SEC brand they could move up to a clear second in importance.

Alabama basketball matters not in this conversation. The only 2 basketball programs that matter at all in this convo is Kentucky and Florida. Florida probably won't matter once Donovan leaves.

They are going to be an excellent football program. The Texas market is what makes them so valuable

Hey jackazz, you are the fool, you called my fact false. The laughs on you jackazz.
In the best all-time basketball basketball rankings earlier this year I had
1.UK
2 Arkansas
3. UF
4 Tie LSU & Bama.
But we still have the 2md most wins behind UK and the most wins in baseball, THAT DOESN'T mean we are better than LSU in baseball alltime, but it still means we have been very consistent.
DUMMY

I live in Texas and got plenty of sec games before the aggies got here. You are overestimating them

So now championships don't matter, just wins. Gotcha

Alabama doesn't have more basketball wins than Arkansas

It's not the sole logic. But it is a huge part of the equation. Alabama still matters despite the small local market because of the large national interest level.

Large national interest in BAMA? Sorry to bust your bubble but outside the sec and the south no one gives a damn about Alabama
Posted on 5/3/14 at 8:42 pm to Monticello
I would also argue that Auburn and LSU generate more interest both regionally and nationally than A&M since those programs have actually won shite in recent years

You have become the biggest Alabama troll on this board.
According to Forbes [2013], we are the 4th valuable football program in the nation, behind Texas, Notre Dame, & Alabama. That's not counting the other various sports we make a profit in. We have the most national champions in the league and have a brand that reaches across the nation. Continue your trolling on tidefans you pos
