They kinda are the flagship of Texas. At least that's the way I see it from an outsiders perspective my entire life. I mean while you guys were in the big 12 we didn't see you beating USC in the rose bowl for the n.c

We were established first by the Texas constitution. Their gimmicky cowhead might be a better brand, but that's all it is. A gimmick.

It's their first minority hire in the history of their program. And it pissed off a lot of their boosters. That tells me something has them scared enough not to care. I wonder what changed in the state of Texas in the last 5 years? Hmmm
