Here is my objective ranking:
1. Paul Mainieri (LSU)
2. John Cohen (Mississippi State)
3. Kevin O'Sullivan (Florida)
4. Tim Corbin (Vanderbilt)
5. Dave van Horn (Arkansas)
6. Dave Serrano (Tennessee)
7. David Perno (Georgia)
8. Gary Henderson (Kentucky)
9. John Pawlowski (Auburn)
10. Mitch Gaspard (Alabama)

Did you mean this as a rank them right now, or overall through their career? If it's a current ranking, Perno and O'Sullivan are much too high.

If it's a historical ranking, Cohen and Mainieri are much to high, Perno should be higher.

If you threw in the coaches on your DNR list, Holbrook would be #1 on either the Historical or Current list. As he's the ONLY coach, (to my knowledge) that was at least an Asst HC on a team that won 2 or more CWS's. Furthermore, it's no secret that he's been the "recruiting coach" for Carolina's consistant Top 20 classes the past several years. In addition to the fact that he just "took over the program" this year and is still nationally ranked in the Top 10.

What bait?

Van Horn has top-notch talent, facilities, and stadium, but he consistently blows it.

You should be thanking me Van Horn is in my Top 5 so you can go start a troll thread and include my ranking for legitimacy reasons.

Not a troll.

I speak the truth.

Sorry you can't handle it, but I understand your teen angst toward me since your team lost to that CUSA powerhouse last night.

Quick, name all the current HCs in the SEC with a CWS title.

Mike Bianco was an LSU assistant for 2 of their CWS titles.

There's enough highschool baseball talent within 2 hours of that campus to compete for national titles every single year

No joke, isn't the Warner Robbins Little League team always at the LLWS? If I was Georgia I would be establishing some connections early to these kids. It cannot be a fluke that they field one of the best Little League teams each year. Use it as a farm club and get them thinking about enrolling at Georgia early. If that is legal, which I assume it is since LSU and Bama recently offered an 8th grader a football scholly.

I see it all as interconnected. UGA doesn't give a damn about the baseball program. They don't invest in it, facilities are poor, and thus fan support is poor. They've gone to great lengths to prevent drinking in the outfield, etc... Thus, they never really build the "college baseball culture" that kids grow up dreaming about playing for. These kids are then less likely to actually show up at UGA when the time comes because they lack an emotional connection to it -- and generally have more of a connection to the Braves and pro ball.

This is a distinct difference from the Ms/La kids that grow up dreaming of playing for MSU/OM/LSU first and foremost -- with the pros being the endgame. Georgia could never build loyalty to the same extent as those(due to the Braves' presence), but with even half(or maybe 1/4) the loyalty from those kids, they are a national powerhouse.

They will eventually get the correct coach in there that changes their baseball culture -- and can sell kids on raising their draft stock under his tutelage -- and it will be similar to Bertman showing up at LSU. There is really that much hs baseball talent in the Atlanta area. It's hard to screw it up to the extent that UGA has...

He said Bianco sucks because he lost to Memphis. Cohen (is a dickhead douche bag) lost to Memphis last year. Therefore, by Jimmie Rustler's (Bundy) theory, Cohen does indeed suck as well.

Are you retarded? Mainieri is the only HC with a CWS title. No matter how much you try to play around with your words, South Carolina's titles belong to Tanner, not Holbrook.

Acutally I was mistaken, Bainco was an assitant at LSU for 3 titles, so Bianco>Holbrook.
