regular season conference title

I always giggle at the regular season comments on this board - I don’t really mean fully who gives a shite but partially I do, a regular season basketball title is cute I guess but of every important thing in basketball it’s at the bottom of my list. I really think there are much worse comments to poke teams about and, of course, I’m including my own team in that.

Giggle all you want. It has nothing to do with the prestige of the title. It’s the only one that really has anything to do with home court advantage though.

We can get into conference tourney titles and sweet sixteens and better since 94 too if you want.

We have 6 final fours. But most don't know that.

Well that’s a fair argument then, I just saw a retard LSU fan say something about regular season title too so I felt the need to comment as if it’s truly important. Carry on.

Since you edited I will too, the cut off date you put seems a little pricky for some reason or another.

Arkansas has a great history. Recent history isn’t so great though.

What really measures your home court advantage is your team's overall winning percentage in its own gym.

Arkansas wins 81.2% of its games in Bud Walton arena all time.

Your argument may hold water except it can't possibly because it's fundamentally flawed. All teams win more games at home than on the road. So the regular season conference title is more about how well your team does on the road.

Good try though.

Not talking so much about history, but home court advantage. Bud Walton Arena provides one of the elite home court advantages in the country. Does it not?

So that huge home court advantage hasn’t been big enough to cover up shitty play away from home. Got it.

Yeah but apparently home court advantage doesn’t really mean much considering your post.

I’m on topic. It seems home court advantage is irrelevant based on your post, since all teams are good at home.

He’s the one that said road play is what determines the conference title. So home court advantage must not really be THAT important since Arkansas has such a big advantage at home and hasn’t won that title since 94. Are Arkansas teams really that bad since then?

Yes we know Nolan wasn't on the court for those recent years but that doesn't take away that fact that we are still over 80% in win percentage. My point is we are only a great coach away from being a powerhouse again. It may be Mussleman. I haven't seen our crowd pumped up the way they are now since Nolan. Could be something special.

I think Musselman ends up proving to be the best coach we have ever had at Arkansas.

I think we end up building a statue of the dude.

Maybe so. We need more SEC teams doing well. Really the only sport where every SEC team needs the rest of the conference to do well.

There's only two fanbases that actually care about basketball. That's UK and Arkansas
