re: Question for the SoonerHorns... Is it frustrating playing in a lame duck conference lineup

For me, how we play is more important than who we play. We haven't played good football in 10 years and we need to fix that first.
I'm looking forward to playing an SEC slate because I like seeing the best athletes compete. It hasn't been that way in a long time.
I like the fact we won't get out-recruited by a conference any more. That will help with the issue in the first paragraph.

I agree with that but, you have to admit it's hard to get excited for most games in the Big 12. Even if it's a team your school has recent struggles with. I would much rather watch OU play just about any SEC team than any of the Kansas schools. West Virginia doesn't do much for me. Neither do any of the other Texas schools.
OU really only has the Texas rivalry left since we lost the Nebraska rivalry. I think there is great potential for a OU/LSU or OU/Arkansas rivalry. Depending on who we play on a yearly basis. It's just going to be a much more exciting yearly schedule.

Y'all are the ones that said "we keep beating SEC teams", when in fact you are 1-3 in the last 4. That is not beating regularly. That is "We used to beat..."
And again no playoff games.
Don't misunderstand me. I think Oklahoma will do very well in the SEC. But, at least one of your posters think you are going to walk in and take over based on recent results....and neither of those things is true.

The addition of Oklahoma and Texas will only make the SEC stronger. Many on here will only troll you, but it's a fact that the SEC got better with you two.

That is Mojo... every fan base has one...
I am on record here saying that I think OU will do fine but there will be a transition. but it won't be long before they will regularly be in the top 3-5 of the conference. What kills me is the hate from 8&4feit fans, by and large they act like OU will just fold and they have this high and mighty attitude like they are an SEC blueblood, when in fact they have been just as mediocre in the SEC as they were in the Big 12, and they don't seem to recognize that the SEC fanbase looks at them like that crazy uncle that no one talks about. Something I would bet on is that OU will have more than 2 winning seasons in conference and will average less than the 3.5 losses that 8&4feit has averaged in their first 10 years.

Re-read your post and ask yourself again why A&M fans don't care for Sooner fans very much. Horns' arrogance has rubbed off on you.
I don't really care either way about OU as a school. My few experiences with your fan base have always been Sooners acting like miserable c-u-n-t-s.

I believe this says it all, we were met with arrogance when we joined the board, and we answer it. I used to appreciate A&M when they were in the B12, but the fanbase on these boards seems to be delusional with a serious inferiority complex.

And I responded to Mojo. So why are you in this conversation again?

If you are going to survive on this forum you need to understand that when somebody talks crap things will be said to that poster, and not take them personally against your team.

I’m excited for it. Can’t wait until we are playing Georgia, Alabama, and LSU. Beats the hell out of our current schedule.

You've still got 2-3 years until you are part of the SEC. Are you frustrated with the wait or mainly ok with it? Just curious. The last two expansions were much more timely, so this is a bit of a new situation.
Not me. It's still a fine conference baseball and basketball wise and Texas has some serious work to do in football.

Yep. That impediment is now gone. Had A&M actually been more successful in the last decade the SEC may have been more reluctant to put air back in OU and Texas recruiting sails, but that's what's happened.
Given Texas' coaching woes, and the uncertainty regarding OUs coaching situation, big question as to whether either can get some momentum over the next couple of years.

I would think it was obvious, YOU brought up "at least one of your posters", so as one of those posters on a PUBLIC forum, I responded. Perhaps if you wish to keep a conversation between you and another you either carry on the conversation in DM OR don't call out others in your comments. All of that being said, I think we are saying the same thing with respect to the upcoming addition.

Honestly, I think the lack of urgency to move started when playoff expansion died on the vine. Obviously a much easier path now staying for a few extra years in the BIG12 and while BV develops a program. We'll see how it shakes out, but as a season ticket holder it needs to happen sooner rather than later for me ;)

Looking forward to Queef Ewers performance against Kansas this year.
Perhaps he can get you boys on the winning track. :)
