Make a run downtown for food.

Firehouse subs, cafe 212, or the food truck Local Mobile.

It's been over a decade since I could speak to this, so I would defer to anyone living there now. Wouldn't the highway be God awful on gameday driving from Tupelo?

Is Batesville an option, or does it fill up just as badly because it's so close to Oxford?

You still have time to start a relationship with a homely grad student and stay in her room (Is Guess Hall still the grad dorm?)

Tupelo is close.

Hilton Garden Inn - East Main St downtown.

Right next door to The Grill -- Great Food.

The Grill

Stayed there a couple of weeks ago.

In Tupelo it's not really a problem. The highway stays pretty clear. Once you get around campus though, it's a different story.

The way the town is shaped, I don't see that ever changing.

I still like my grad student idea, though. How do feel about Indian girls?

You can stay in Tupelo and hit up the casinos. Its a short drive to Oxford

The casinos are on the other side of Oxford from Tupelo. They're an hour from Oxford and two from tupelo. Op should try Grenada if Batesville is already sold out (which it probably is)

The Tri Delt house at Ole Miss was the best sleepover ever

I see that now. Proper way to do an Ole Miss game if you can't stay in oxford is to stay at the Peabody in Memphis. Proper way to do it is stay in Oxford, but that's not easy for an away fan on game weekends.
