Possibly early on, but we had Richardson in the same class. So, I doubt it.

That's the other thing. Both LSU and Alabama were going after Richardson.

He was our top choice but he picked Bama. Saban could take a risk on Lacy knowing he had Richardson in the bag.

From what I saw of Ridley it may be time to get Ford more playing time.

He had one game with a fumbling issue, lets see what happens next week before we declare him unfit for play

this. Ridley ran hard and looked good other than the fumbles

Not really. He was a risk. He put himself in a hole early on in high school and it really didn't look like he would qualify.

Yea, I was questioning wether you would like to have him NOW after the grade issues where handled. Even over Ford. FWIW, I would not rather have him over TR.

You said we short changed him, or something to that effect. We didn't do Lacy wrong. Saban took a chance on him knowing that he would probably go to JUCO, but maybe he would qualify.

He qualified....against all odds. I guess you could say the kid just needed someone to believe in him, and he responded to the kind of positive motivation Saban gave him.

I don't think Miles did anything wrong, however, by staying away from a kid who probably wasn't going to qualify.

To answer your question frankly: YES, I'd like to have him. He grew up in our backyard, for heaven's sake. Do I want him over Ford? Well, no. I wanted both of them.

Oh well...life goes on. Best of luck to Lacy.

Strength matters, but intangibles are what set good backs apart from really good backs. I feel like lacy has more vision and a better spin move taboot. And he is also pretty damn strong.

Why is he not playing more?
Would Lacey be playing if Ingrim wasn't hurt? Ford is in the same position as Lacey...behind two older RB's. He is a RS-freshman. He will get his chance.

That's the thing. Ford was already qualified, and probably would have been rated higher early on if not for the injury his Jr. Year. Lacy was an academic risk. When Ford committed, we were done with power backs, the exception being Richardson.

I would still take Ford over Lacy.

However, it would not really matter. Both would be sitting next to each other on the bench because neither would be smart enough to grasp the Wizard's playbook.

And Christine Michael begging to be let in the door.

No, I fully understand why Lacy would be down on the list.
