Saying OSU played OU in a championship game is not "semantics". It is flat out wrong, however and I merely pointed that out.
If you barge in a thread with a stupid avatar and start blathering, you should at a bare minimum have the basic facts that you think support your argument correct.

BamaChick is right about this. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State play each other every year. That was not a Big 12 Championship Game. Once again we will watch as this year's Big 12 Champion (Maybe Kansas State) will have no shot at the National Championship because they do not play an extra game added onto the regular season (real conference championship game) Oregon will jump them.
To answer the original question of this thread. LSU and BAMA have had a legitimate rivalry for some time now. LSU has had some inconsistent play this year but when they have a game at home like Saturday Night they are one of the best teams in the nation.
I think that is why the AP/Coaches and BCS still ranked Alabama #1 even though they struggled against LSU. Tiger Stadium is just about an impossible place for a visiting team to win at.

I don't know - you'll have to ask Memphis as he made it for me. He very nicely included my two favorite sports.
The best is the fact that my avatar alter ego is holding a snow ball.
That and me being a mermaid came from some movie or TV show or something about a mean mermaid lady who throws snowballs and eats the souls of men or something.

Let me give you a hand here.
The problem isn't that Okie State stomped or didn't stomp Oklahoma.
The problem is that their lack of a championship game resulted in the lack of a needed extra game.
If they had played a bonus 13th game prior to the NCG, that may well have been what they needed to propel them forward in the computer rankings and make enough difference. Bedlam by itself wasn't enough to offset their loss to a vastly inferior team during the late regular season.
That's the point being made here. Okie State fricked themselves by not taking care of business.

A one loss B12 champion who utterly destroyed an Oklahoma team in it's last game is surely worthy of a NC berth over a 1 loss team that did not win it's conference. Yes, I know, that isn't a requirement...blah, blah so let's just choose to ignore it.

There's no easy answer to this except to say that life isn't fair. If you want to blame anyone for the B12's attrition, blame Texas.
