To be truthful, we are pretty delusional around here. We wouldn't consider any game next year a HUGE upset with the exception of Florida.

Uhhh... because LSU is better than Alabama?
Do I win anything?

I notice that usually when yall talk about being able to upset a team this coming season, yall most of the time pick it to be Bama. Why do yall think it will be Bama over say.... Lsu. After all we drubbed yall by 30 points where yall have beaten them 2 years straight. I would think yall would have more confidence against them. I'll hang up and listen now.
I've mostly been hearing them talking shite about Ole Miss, far, far, far more than LSU or Bama. In fact thats all they can talk about.

The biggest upset next year would be at Florida.
I have a hard time viewing beating Ole Miss as an upset. Tulsa was ranked 21st last season when we beat them so that was technically an upset. Didn't seem like it, though.
Alabama, believe it or not, doesn't strike fear into me as a Razorback fan. Its probably because we have been relatively successful against you the past 15 years or so. Its not really a big deal when we beat Bama, of course them being ranked top 5 would change that. We have lost two straight to Bama, though.
LSU is always fun to beat. Three in a row against them would be sweet, so thats the game I hope we win the most next season. I have family connections that make that game more special--when WE win.

I'm not in the camp that would pick Bama as an upset because I think the Tide’s QB will be very solid and their defense will be, well Alabama. In fact I’m picking either the Tide or LSU to win the West. If I had to pick an upset I would pick GA or Ole Miss. GA because it's at home, early in the season and GA has some key positions they have to replace.
Ole Miss, because of the Nutt Factor. Last year Ole Miss had more talent and experience than we did at almost every position yet they barely escaped with a W. This year we will be in much better position in talent, experience, and depth to compete.
Offense: Arkansas' offense will be vastly improved this year for several reasons.
1. QB - Much, much better QB play. Not only will Mallett and Wilson be able to make the throws Dick couldn't, which will allow BP to use his entire playbook, but they will also be much better at recognizing defenses and calling audibles, especially Mallett.
2. OL - The offense line did lose a couple of very good players, especially Luigs, but I think we will be just fine in the OL because of added depth and more experience with the complex blocking assignments.
3. WR- Although our receivers are still very young this will be the best, by far, group of receivers Arkansas has had ever. I also think at least 1 freshman receiver will make a big contribution this year; probably Cobi Hamilton or Lance Ray who I think is a real sleeper.
4. RB – Michael Smith will return 100% and will be able to stay fresh throughout the game and the season because of a deep, talented group of RBs.
Defense: To put it bluntly, Arkansas’ defense last year was just bad. Period! I think it was a combination of lack of talent, lack of experienced talent, and learning a new, fairly complex defensive scheme. So, they will be hard pressed to be any worse this year. With that being said I think we will be much better and deeper at all positions on defense this year. A lot of our younger players have dramatically matured. They have added weight while improving both strength and speed. Also, I expect 2-3 Juco players and 2 or 3 true freshman make significant contributions to the defensive side of the ball this year either as starters or in the 2-deep rotation.
Will all this improvement translate into additional wins? Perhaps not but I do know this. The Hogs are not where we want to be just yet but we will be a much, much improved team compared to last year and that gives me a great deal of hope. Can’t wait for the season to start!

I think it will be an upset in the minds of everyone else...but I just don't see Bama as that much of an offensive threat...
Yes...You drummed us by 30 last year, but 14 was courtesy of Dick and also the goal line stand that we didn't score...
I think it will be a close game...Florida would be the only upset in my mind...

How do you come to this conclusion when A.you have nothing to base our OB on besides our spring game which he did exceptional in and B. We have one of the most dominant WRs in the nation and ridiculous depth at running back?

Who has talked about beating Bama as an upset?
Was it said for this year specifically? I would imagine so b/c we rarely circle the Bama game.
Right now playing Hootie, LSU and aTm are the big games for us.

the series records vs. AL and LSU stand at 10-7(excluding the '93 AL forfeit); winning games against either of these division rivals are not upsets, based on the conference history. Saban/Miles have only combined for a 5-4 series record against AR this decade.

A feeds B and he didn't look that great in the spring game

True...But again, its not like Bama is in a first pass Offense

nd ridiculous depth at running back?
