I was reading a thread on the rant about LSU's spring game and they where discussing if they needed to go to it. Some think it would help recruiting and of course Negatigers disagree.Everyone knows Alabama fans love it but what about the rest of the SEC? Do yall think it makes any difference or not?

I love Auburn's spring game. I go every year. Then again, I'm completely obsessed with Auburn football, just ask my girlfriend.

Edit: and yes, I think recruits enjoy it if a lot of fans show up.

Ah, yeah, they are played either in April or May, possibly June.

Oh sorry, saw the moniker and felt there was trouble with season comprehension.

My bad.

I think it helps in the fact recruits like support, I also thinks it creeps some recruits out that 92,000 people have nothing better to do than see a scrimmage. maybe just me

Especially when it's so cheap (free for lots of schools)

Always been one of my favorite days of the year, because they normally schedule a huge baseball series the same weekend. Go catch some football, then grill out in the outfield and drink cold beer all day. I was pissed they had the baseball team out of town last year.

ETA - Damnit, they scheduled the A-Day game on an away series again. We've got LSU in town the weekend before.

I'm impressed. Quite civil. Careful, you may get thrown off the board for that nonsense .

Must be new... let me go ahead and tell you... Alabama and Auburn have resolved the Cival War and Arkansas has picked up where Bama left off.

And as far as the recruiting goes. I remember several recruits coming to Bama on their own dime. So,obviously they like it .

LSU fans have never really gotten that into it. usually because it's the same day and time as a baseball game.

Difference in recruiting? Maybe a little but I don't think the spring game attendance is the determining factor for players. However, it does show fan support when a lot of fans show up and the Hogs do it up right and create a lot of fun and excitement for their spring game, especially for the kids.

I'm sure a lot of SEC schools have something similar but the Hogs put on quite a production that day called Razorfest and it concludes with the spring game. Razorfest is a carnival-like atmosphere where a lot of the Wal-Mart suppliers provide games, fun zones, giveaways, live music and much more. Here is some of what’s planned for 2010.

GAMES
• Inflatables
• Live Music
• Autographs
• Mascots
• Giveaways

FUN ZONES

•Tyson Sports Zone
•Abbott Nutrition End Zone
•Walmart/Disney Zones
•Wheaties Autograph Zone
•Stage One Entertainment
•Encore Kids
•Henkel Cares Zone
•Jr. Sportscasters hosted by 40/29
•AMP it up Zone
•Lazonadeportiva (Sport Zone) Soccer Stop
•Coca-Cola Chill Zone
•Dial Wii Zones
•360NWA Fun Zone
•The Pig Rig
•Kids Directory Fun Spot
•Blue & You Football
•Heinz VIP Suite Hosted by Jennie-O Turkey, Connecting NW Arkansas, Wells Fargo Advisors & 3W Magazine
•PDA Car
•Tusk the Razorback
•And More!
